URGENT! Invalid card bizhub c203

Hi there,
I changed mfp of my bizhub c203 and i recieved error 164. To solve this i proceeded to change firmware, but after i made the card and plugged in the printer it says that the card is invalid.
Maybe someone could help me?

What card do you use ? How you wrote the firmware to the card ?

With firmware imaging tool 2006
transcend 16gb but i reduced to 256mb

16GB is to big will not work , 256mb is perfect , just before write the firmware with image tool , format the card to FAT only !

Maybe something is not going ok during writing on the CF card. Did you get at the end message that written is successfully completed ?

You need to use an older 32-bit Windows OS to run the Imaging Toolkit software. Even though the software appears to work, it does not work properly under modern OSes and the copier will continue to indicate that the cards are invalid. There is also a really good chance that the card you are using won't work due to it's size.

About 2 years ago we needed to update firmware on, I believe it was a C253, to try to resolve weird glitches we were having. In the end our IT ended up creating a virtual machine with a Windows XP install before we were able to successfully write a card that the copier would actually accept. I'm sure a 32-bit install of Windows Vista or Windows 7 would have probably worked, but we didn't have installation files handy to install either of them.

wasnt that an indicator of bit sw 10 not set proper? or was that just older machines?
i do remember planets or KM logo you set sw 10 to 20 if i remember.

If you print out a config page it should say Generic 35C-4, which is a C353. You probably have the "planets" screen when booting up the machine, too. This is an easy fix:

1. Access the Service Mode.
2. Select System 2.
3. Select Software Switch Setting.
4. Enter Switch No. "10".
5. Bin Assignment "00000000".
6. Hex Assignment "02".
7. Click on Fix.
8. Click on End.
9. Power the MFP OFF/ON.
10. Print another Configuration Page. Page Header should now be changed to Konica Minolta.

wait, if you hold panel reset while booting will it go into trouble reset mode?
if so try stop 0 0 stop 0 1 to see if you can get to service mode from there.
