Konica C3320i Not recieving IP address on network

    Hi all

I am hopeful someone can assist with the below....already starting to regret getting the c3320i!!

I just installed a C3320i but it wont receive an IP address from the customers network.... I have set it to DHCP and also tried a known free static IP address but still cant connect........

This machine was setup on our network before taking to the customers where it received the IP address from our network.. They also have a C308 which we installed a while back and that is fine...I connected the c3320i to the same port the c308 was on but still not working with DHCP or Static IP.

I have connected the C3320i via a crossover cable directly to my laptop and I can access the printers web page with no issues...I then connected my laptop to their network with a normal ethernet cable and received an IP address instantly and I can access the internet on their network this way...so I cancelled out MAC filtering as my laptop received the IP address..

I have reset the network via the web interface, cycled power, but still will not receive an IP address...

I have connected it directly to customers switch - nope!

The firmware level is 'GC2 N4'.

I have turned off IPV6...no difference...

The only way I could connect via the customers network was by installing a Netgear wifi extender with a built in 5 port switch. I connected the wifi extender to the customers wifi and then ethernet cable to printer and is working fine....weird!

The wifi extender is just a workaround so need to get it sorted without it..

I am crossing my fingers ppl!

    TIA

try locking down the speed to 100mbs duplex on the copier. ive seen copiers argue with switches over an acceptable speed denying the connection to begin with.
most switches are auto speed detect. so is the damn copier. ususally one gives up and stops trying to connect.
you can even try 10mbs duplex.
ive seen it at least a dozen times. lock in a static IP and lock down the speed.
    thats my .02
    good luck.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

OMFG i just looked at the manual, is this machine a joke?
there does not seem to be a setting for speed on that thing.
i thought it also had wireless built in. does it?

Select [Network] - [TCP/IP Setting] - [TCP/IP Setting1] in administrator mode of Web Connection (or in [Utility] - [Administrator] of this machine), and configure the following settings.
[TCP/IP] When enabling TCP/IP, set this option to ON (default: ON).
[Network Speed] Select the network speed according to your environment (default: [Auto (10M/100M/1Gbps)]).

If network speed change doesn't help go to service mode system 1 and initialize network.

P.S. avoid colour A4 KM any time you can

Your question is out of subject.
We deal only with Brother and KM so depending on clients we pick the right not necessarily the best.

Re: Konica C3320i Not recieving IP address on network

Does this sound familiar? We've come across this on a couple of the Lexmark rebadged as Konicas. After weeks of fretting over it, these new machines were eventually replaced with Lexmark badged devices of the exact same build, which worked just fine (??? no I don't have any explanation):

                          bizhub 4052, 4752
Won't scan, print or access user boxes while connected to the network. MFP locks up. When Scan is pressed goes to time clock (forever). Will not print from the network or even internal reports, until the network cable is disconnected.

                          Network traffic causes the MFP to lock up. Affects only all (4) bizhub 4052's on this network. Detail codes: (8) 0X1FFF, (5) 0X9CE2, (2) 0X4002, (1) 0X201A, (1) 0X2017, (2) 0X2008, (1) 0X2015, (1) 0X076C.

Refer this issue to endusers IT.

                          =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thank you for question and reply. It helps me connect again my C3320i. For unknow reason, I had to switch to full 100 instead of previously fontionnal AUto.
