    Pro 1100

Can the consumables like drum / developer be suspended in the enhanced security mode like the smaller Bizhubs? I haven't seen the machine yet and don't see enhanced security mode in service manual.

    Thanks in advance

I think he wants the machine to stop after reaching drum life limit.

DIPSW 1 bit 4 and 5 on a Pro 951 will do that. No sure about the Pro 1100 need to check a manual for that.

No what I meant is set for machine to keep working when consumables reach end of life and only replace when print quality issues. We do this with all the 25 - 75 ppm models. You set it in Enhanced security mode, think it's called "suspend".

On production machines they will not stop when consumables reach end of life but a light will come on letting customer know that it has reached end of life.

You can set the drum/dev counter to a very high value. The yield value can be changed for PM and drum/dev. That will insure that you will get CQ issues before the PM warning goes on.

I don't work on production machines but my understanding is clients are more demanding in terms of quality, heavy fill images etc.
@allan did they make quoted parts life what do you think mate?

Oh, as far as i know, our color production models never stop, just show that this-and-this part has to be replaced. But in service mode You can check the counters for each part, have You tried to change it?
I can check on my Press C7000, but no earlier than next friday.

I can only answer you on the b/w production machines like the Pro 1100. I do repairs and service on the color production machines but the company I work for only do the b/w productions. I have seen from management lists that the color machine parts does not do too bad and can go past yield on most of the items. The mono machines are less critical than the color machines when it comes to CQ. Yes all the parts makes yield on the b/w machines. The drums can do 200% the developers about 150% the fuser parts 200% the feed rollers 50%...

Some customers are more demanding than others. We offer a 4 hour call out time to ensure the least amount of down time on our production machines. Except for one customer with two AccurioPress 6136 and one Press 1250 they get a 2 hour response time. The machines do between 750K and 1.5M each p/m. The most reliable and easy to maintain machines I have ever work on. Its truly impressive what these machines can do. Air assisted paper feed units are amazing and if done right needs a proper cleaning every 5M prints. The 6136 machines have LS units on them that stacks the paper on to trolleys on the fly. That machine can run a pallet of paper with out stopping. Toner change is also on the fly.

Oops got carried away with my response there....
