Re: C558 noise when printing
Never seen that on an 8 series but I have seen it a lot lately on i-series. Some internal components in the drums are not lubed well from the factory. I've seen brand new machines right after install with loud squealing drums.
Remove the color drums one by one and turn them by hand using the knob on the rear - you'll hear the same squealing/high pitch scratching noise you do when running color jobs.Comment

Re: C558 noise when printing
Audio would help a lot. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
