    P-9 is a black IU failure. I would make sure the black printhead is seated properly.

      Carry out "Image & Stabilization" then carry out gradation, once you have got rid of all the "P" codes
      Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

          I don't have the manual to look at right now, but there is a chart in service mode that tells you which color and how many clicks in which direction you need to go to get the color registration properly aligned. It's not guesswork like it seems you have been doing.
          A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
          My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

              I think you are way in over your head. I've worked on 100's of that model and never had to adjust the print heads! First thing I would do is ask for the service manual.
