Hi
Hopefully somebody out there can help me out, enclosed is an image of a Transfer Belt from a Konica Accuprint C4065 the original belt had split and was replaced with a new one, after stripping and cleaning the intermediate transfer assembly the new belt was fitted along with the original claw unit and cleaning assembly, the cleaning assembly had been replaced at an earlier point and only had about 50K on it the blades had been checked and relubricated, the assembly was checked for ease of rotation, and abnormal noises then a cleaning test was carried out as per the manual the assembly was refitted and all reset procedures were carried out as laid out in the service manual, on testing no error codes were registered and no abnormal noises were heard copy quality was good on A4 but on switching to A3 toner leakage appeared at both edges of the sheet along with smudging.
On withdrawal of the Developing Unit from the main body the indentations down either side of the belt where present along with the horizontal lines, I am surmising that the edge of the belt is being deformed by to much pressure against the drums and is being stretched over the edges of the transfer assembly charge rollers when operating, why and how this can be I can not work out so if anyone has seen this behaviour before and knows what the solution might be I would be very grateful for their input.
Normally I don`t post as I like to try and sort problems out myself but this time I am stumped the Konica Minolta tech guy I contacted for support is a bit slow coming forward.
The machine has processed 1.4 mill in the last 18 months.
Any thoughts excepted gratefully
Regards
Roysk
