Doc Feeder Sep Tyres Wearing Out

For a long time now we've been swapping out the seperation tyres on pretty much all our machines from 4 series onward from the standard fit red tyres to the blue ones (9J07340901)

The red sep tyres always wore out much quicker than the pickup and feed, the blue ones last the distance and it made a massive difference to the amout of ADF jam calls we were getting.

Just ordered more stock from Konica and 9J07340901 has been discontinued, they've sent A108563900 instead... which are Red compound again

Does anyone have experience with how long these last, I'm guessing just as bad as the old ones, or maybe someone has a part number for an alternative blue adf sep ( We can swap i series blue rubbers onto the adf sep boss but it's a right pain !)

It is the other way around, the wheel that is going to be discontinued because it is old is the red one, the blue one is being mounted on machines that have just been launched on the market,
such as the AcurioPrint 2100, so I think they have sent you what they wanted to.Captura.JPG

I use the A64... Blue roller for tray separation. Its a trick to get those off of and on to the DF bobbin. Hard as rock.
      Whatever

A143... from old 3 series works well. No swap of part is needed. Plug and play.

Replace the complete unit A3CFPP4H00, with the torque limiter these last forever.

I would have to disagree, thats the part number for the standard tyre and limiter which wear smooth / flat spot far sooner than the feed tyre does.

It's exactly the same issue on the tray feed tyres, which is why the "i series" has moved to a red feed and a harder blue sep tyre, lasts double the life of a red sep tyre.

I've emailed them (We are a Develop dealer so maybe different with ordering from KM?)

I'd assumed they'd dropped 9J07340901 as it was an old C220 etc part, but the latest parts list for a +450i (that was only published a couple of weeks ago) shows it as 9J07340901 so hopefully you're right!

Have not had to many issues with the ADF sep roller but the trays you can try running all black tread tires A64J564201 as pickup feed and sep, (the new blue sep tires from the trays are pretty good maybe tire those for the adf sep). Have done this for some high usage MFP's in schools and have never replaced them last i checked i have been there to replace drums and they still look brand new no jams or double feeding. before I was there every 3 months changing tires. Now those tires are over a year old in tray 3 LCT. Still testing these tires as a option in other environments now too

Interesting idea running 3 x A64J564201, would never have thought that would work but might give it a go.

Just to bring this whole thread to a finale.. Develop have come back to me this morning to say there was a glitch on the ordering system, 9J07340901 are available again and they're sending me out those that I had originally ordered / collecting the A108563900's

And as a side note, these blue 9J07340901 sep rollers work flawlessly in all the current crop of Konica ADF's from 4 series onward, far outlasting the red sep rollers

                  Happy days!
