KM c224e - won't print, error code C-D353

Dear all, my KM c224e (150000 pages) stopped working quite suddenly. It wont accept any printing jobs, so I turned it off and back on from the main switch. Now it won't boot, it gets stuck at a two bar screen forever, then eventually would spit error code C-D353. I am stuck here. What can I do?

Update: In the meantime I have reset the "trouble code" twice, but to no avail. And now the printer stopped booting up altogether and is stuck at a black screen with two gray "bars".
I appreciate any assistance.

Sounds like the NVRAM has failed. If not the MFP board needs replacement. 90% of the time it's the NVRAM. Common issue with these units.

Could be HDD failing or the SSD.

You could also try a firmware update or the NVRam reset tool.

Is this something I can do? I know how to change the NVRAM SODIMM but how am I going about the firmware and possibly NVRAM reset? Thank you!

I would try the NVRam reset tool before replacing any parts,

Where do I get that from?
Also, after 12h pause the copier boots up but asks for "serial number" (serial number must be entered. contact your service representative)

First you will need to replace backup battery on MFP board.

UPDATE: had a tech come out and look at the machine. His verdict was that it needs a new main board but that's impossible to replace because KM wouldn't release the license code needed to activate the new board due to machine being >5 years old. So he offered me a new machine.
He said he reset the NVRAM, got the machine back to live for a few seconds but it would "lock up" immediately, which is a sign for main board failure.

Is there anything I can do at this point? I bought the machine in 2017 and it has 135k pages on the clock.

I would purchase a cheap used C224e & use the MDP board from that.

I don;t know where to get a cheap 224, but I see MDPs for sale on ebay? however, the KM tech said I cannot replace the MFP? Can you please help?
