Do you happen to know if fusers on C250i and C251i are interchangeable. Konica says NO but that means to stock more parts.
I never knew that, I've just checked the parts manuals - as you say, extra fuser units to order....that's sh*te....it looks like only the A4 devices share a fuser
Tip for the day; Treat every problem as your dog would.....If you cant eat it or f*ck it....then p*ss on it & walk away...

There is a newer, modified, fuser unit that is interchangeable between the 250i and 251i (and 300i, 360i)
The newer fuse unit, if it's being installed into and older model (250i) requires the installation of a metal "shim", a change in the engine dip switches (enable switch 12 and 40) and there is also a new fan cover that has to be installed (the shim and fan cover come in the box along with instructions).
There is a TIB available describing the installation and modifications of the new, interchangeable, fuser unit. I'll dig it out and attach it here later on today.

I wouldn't bet about compatibility of this fuser with Cxx1i series...
Yes, there is modified fusing unit, however Cxx0i series was split in two minor series Eagle I and modified Eagle II - brand new Cxx1i is Eagle III.
Modified fusing unit is standard part for Eagle II and can be installed with modifications in Eagle I, but part number of fusing unit for Cxx1i series is different.

I've attached the related bulletin to my original post above.
I my be wrong but it does seem (to me) that the new modified fuser (and related parts in box) are compatible with the older models.

The question was about compatibility between series C250i and C251i.
A set of modifications has been implemented inside the C250i series, of which the new fusing unit is a part, and the document describes the compatibility of the new fuser with older machines (below some serial number).

I think jotunn is right. Modified fuser is for 0i series and I have replaced a few but 1i for example C251i has another fuser p.n. ADXGR70300.
              This is from online course.

You're right! I wasn't reading it fully and just assumed (made an ass of u and me 😬)the TIB related to changes to allow for cross compatibility between 250/251 models. Thanks for the correction you've saved me some heartache in the future no doubt!
Now I'll have to order up some of the newer 251i fusers.
It's just another thing to remember when working on these two, similar but different, models 😮‍💨

Yeah he nailed it. A good correction from jotunn. It's definitely saved me some heartache in future.
Unfortunately it does seem like we'll have to carry two different fuser units around 😮‍💨

we've been replacing the power supplies on the new machines (250i/251i) with power supplies from the older machines (224e/258) they are exactly the same supply except the older power supplies are made by Sony and the newer supplies are made by "Power Supply Technology Company" which seems to be some generic Chinese company.
Sorry, correct me if I'm wrong: did you do these compatibility tests between boards correctly?
