    Bizhub C224 - printing problem

    Hello, can I ask the more experienced for help?
    A few days ago, the printer started printing a stripe (see scan). I found that after printing approx. 5-6 papers the error disappears.
    Subsequently, if there is no printing for, say, 2 hours, the bar will appear again. I thought the drum would be defective, so I tried replacing it as a test (I have a spare in stock), but the problem is the same - maybe worse.
    Has anyone encountered this problem, or how to solve it?

    Transfer belt. You can try and remove trans belt unit, remove cleaning assembly on unit, vac & clean blade, lube blade with yellow toner and reinstall. If that don't work you need to replace transfer belt.

      Unfortunately, the situation is the same and there has been no improvement. The problem still persists

      ...so I will have to buy a new belt.

        Based on the sample, definitely the belt as copyman stated. That is what one of the two calibration stripes look like after the cleaning blade attempts, but fails, to clean it off the belt surface.
        A Ricoh Service Tech for 7 year. A Konica Minolta Service Tech for 7 years. Now, KM service manager for 4 years.
        My Ricoh knowledge is slowly dwindling away at this point. Many things have been lost to time...

          Put your a4 paper Landscape in the cassette and if the lines at the edge of the belt it won't show on your prints. (temp fix)


          Ignore this I didnt see your sample originally but I can tell putting the paper landscape won't help

            Ok, I'll get a new belt.
            I am currently using the printer in the landscape position, but I definitely want to solve the problem in the future. D
