    Windows Defender Infohub Firmware issue

Hi everyone just wanted to warn you all the latest updates to windows defender seems to be causing issues when extracting Konica firmware zips. Its deleting tar files whilst extracting causing the firmware to no longer work. We've had to disable it for now.

Thanks for warning us. Do you happen to know how can we check if Defender is actually breaking our firmware folders without obvious way on the machine itself?

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

One way would be to take a snapshot of all the files in the zip before extracting. And then check your extracted files against it.

If you have 7-Zip installed just open the firmware self extracting EXE with 7-Zip's file manager. It will list all the files inside. It can even extract them if needed.

I haven't been able to reproduce the behavior your seeing but it may just be the self extracting EXE setting it off.

If I helped you out, please give me a thumbs up! It helps my reputation.
