Hello, anyone having problems with the sep claw on the transfer belt flipping under and wrecking the belt and if so has anyone been taking them off? Had 2 last week do this and ruined both belts. I noticed the 552/652 don't have the claw so wandering if I can just remove before installing. Thanks

Never heard of them flipping under on their own.
But I have seen them put back incorrectly after refusing the belt. Have the belts been refused?

Neither belt has been refused, one machine has 35k on it and the other 80k. This is actually the 3rd one I have seen do this.

never heard of the claw flipping on itself but i do face belt ripping due to the paper used by customer that has some kind of glue that cause the claw touching the belt and ripping it.

I have had one unit do this..but I think it was caused by user feeding heavy stock from bypass and it jammed at fuser, folded onto belt/claw. I have not tried removing them but suggest you make sure that the mounting plate is not bent up at all.

I`ve had a few like this, normally happens after a lot of J30-01 jams, paper tends to hit the transfer belt claw. I would check the jam list to see if there`s an underlying jamming issue. I wouldn`t remove the claw, I saw this done on a C650 once and the result was loads of paper in the transfer belt cleaner.
