    Bizhub 420 random issue

I have a 420 out in the field, been working on these things since they hit the market and have yet to see an issue like this. It every so often from front to rear (not lead to trail) will just create a pixled image of what the copy is suppose to be in an area of about a 1/2 inch wide from front to rear. Very inconsistant, anyone else seen this before? I am leaning towards a drum but hoping not.

    thanks in advance

Have not seen it before. Is it a copy problem or a print problem? I Would think it would be more along the lines of firmwarre or a board.

It has latest firmware. Has not had a history of board issues. Its on the write side. If you scan one orig and print many, every so often it will throw some strange copy q issues. Lines fron to rear, will throw dots or pixled image. Pretty strange.

I'd say ram as well. Reseat it.
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
