    bizhub C451 jamming 3001

I'm new to Konica Minolta, but I sure hope this one is unusual.

We took in a trade that jammed every page just past the fuser. The exit assembly at the top of the door wasn't driving. In my investigation I noticed that one of the drive shafts just above the fuser was crawling out by itself.

After working on a desktop Magicolor I was concerned that that drive assembly would be buried. To my surprise the PWB cage swung away nicely to give me easy access to the drive assemblies. Within the fuser drive assembly there was an E-clip missing on a shaft driven by helical gears, so by the normal rotation the shaft pushed out the front.

At the beginning I actually thought I could slip in a new E-clip without a total disassembly. I gave up on that idea after dropping the fourth clip. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
