    Konica C6500 Error Message

Getting an error message on a C6500
    Code C-4521
Can anyone give me an assist on this. The C6500 will not get out of the error message screen to ascertain what the issue is.

      Color registration abnormality

      Cause:
C-4521 Color registration base line correction/
      Fr aborted.

      Possible fixes:
      Printer control board (PRCB)
      Color registration sensor/Fr
      (PS8)

Take care about this error code

        Hi guy,

Take care, the problem is on new C6500 at installation or after maintenance. The problem is that the wires of mechanical counter (X2) are in short-circuit with ground. This Short-circuit burnt a circuit on PRCB. The 24v is off, after that the PGC and registration flap doesn't work.
First remove the Short circuit from wires counter (by removing counter and checking wires) and only after change your PRCB. In other way you burnt all PRCB replaced!

        Succes.

Make sure that the color regis unit front spring has not become weak and allows the unit to back up away from the transfer belt.

Try the auto color registration adjustment

Also what is the PM count and Cycle? SC45-20, 45-21 can also be caused by worned out consumables. The color registration patterns are too light for the sensors to detect patterns properly due to worn out drums or developer, transfer belt etc.
If the machine is past the pm do the pm and re run the color reg adj.
