konica minolta bh211 Machine powers on then cuts out!!
Re: konica minolta bh211 Machine powers on then cuts out!!
does it turn off immediately after switching on?if no,check the auto shut off time.if yes, first i will go for fuse(but u changed it) then i will check for a short in hv.try to check also the flatcable of the scanner were it twists, maybe there is a thorn and makes short, and also check for a nibbled wire from a rodent(mouse),once i had this problem and found a wire scratched by mouse which was shorting!

hi, something to check, is there a PF 502 fitted????, In the distant past I had a customer move a similar machine to a new office, lifted m/c off cabinet, pulled the wiring loom ,
when they reset the machine on the paper unit the broken loom shorted of the metal. lets know how you get on, thanks Mick

then yep, it sounds like a fusing malfunction, although I think there are a few other critical errors that will cause the machine to automatically switch off (this in itself is not a fault, they are supposed to do that when a high level critical error is detected) Consult the service manual.
Usually there is an error code displayed for at least 1 second before the automatic shut off.

Turn the machine on while pressing the stop key.
Ok I have been to machine, changed Dc power supply, fuser, rear door interlock switch, I have turned on machine whilst holding stop, the pf wireing was caught but not the issue as unplugged PF completely.
I have now ordered front interlock for rhs door and interlock switch for front door and also main on/off button switch and Loom.
