I can't see the SSD f/w tool on the UK KM site yet, but latest f/w is 27th Jan

Important to note this is firmware for the SSD only. It does not update any other boards and the normal firmware does not have this fix incorporated into it. So the SSD and the machine firmware has to be done separately.
Also this is preventative only and will not fix a faulty SSD.
Thought I should clarify this. Cheers....

I had one I had to deal with. If you have one thats constantly rebooting, this is how to resolve it, Replaced the SSD board with a new one, put in flash drive that had the updated MFP firmware. Once it updated, put in the SSD tool, once it updated. Problem solved!!!!

If you have a series E that isnt constantly rebooting. Turn off machine, put in SSD tool, update it. Once updated, put in flash drive of updated MFP firmware, to prevent it from constantly rebooting, and thats it. Good luck!

KM released the new firmware (C8) and the SSD Board update (6.03). I did 3 of these updates today and all went well, but, be advised, the new firmware updates the maintenance version to ver 5. If you change this using the soft switches, the 3.1.1.X drivers will no longer communicate properly and must be updated to 4.1.1.X. New drivers are also on the KM website. Emujo
If you don't see your question answered in the forum, please don't think it's OK to PM me for a personal reply...I do not give out firmware and/or manuals.

I noticed there was a revision to the 9132 was update to be more clear on the instructions. Pages 5-7 changed.

Skimmed it this afternoon, after we updated one in the shop. AFAIK looks like its the same steps, just in a reverse order.

Hi there, what is your experience with these updates so far? I've done several but have three devices still exhibiting the not waking from sleep mode when printing (a full power cycle is required to output the job) despiteall having G20-C8, SSD FW tool, Switch 25 flicking to version 5, Ver 4.1.1 drivers and in one case a new HDD, all to no avail.

Also has anyone spotted that since the Ver 6.03 SSD FW, if you do an SSD pattern check in "Self Diagnostic" it will now NG, whereas before the U/G it would return a result of "OK".

                  Any help very much appreciated!

Do you have all the weektimer settings set too off? Still did not try the new firmware...

I already had a NG on the SSD pattern check just after replacing a SSD (before and after SSD firmware update)... Still did not give any problems... Yet...

Luckily we had only one machine with No boot on arrival about a month ago without Blue Dot! And it was SSDB. Had a techrep in house and swapped the SSD did the FW's that was it, I wasn't present during the full procedure. I did update all machines in the field to SSD v6.03 and all good so far. Touch wood!

Hmm, I'm feeling like the only tech out there with this ongoing problem at the moment! Thanks for your replies anyway.

As for Weekly timer, I had turned that and Power save off on one particular customer, but they are specialists in energy conservation and picked up on the fact that their machine had stopped going into sleep and demanded it be turned back on. Alas, despite it being on G20-C8, Version 5, SSD FW 6.03, it still doesn't print from sleep until a reboot now that I've had to turn all that back on.

Having a meeting with our area Tech Specialist today so hoping for some answers - I will post up anything I get.

It was a penis joke. Those of us with our minds in the gutter, went there straight away.

As far as the topic goes, we updated one machine so far in shop with no issues.
