[CQ] Bizhub 223 snake alike patern

I am having some intermittent snake pattern banding about 1 inch wide. Seem like a charge issue. Anyone had that issue? Anyone found a solution?

      Have you done anything? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Well If you have maglev looking like snake you may have dodgy toner. Or damp dev unit. They are not rare this time of season.

Is there a mouse in the copier, they usually attract snakes.

I try replacing drum and transfer roller with problem coming back. I did replace the dev unit and put fresh dev mix and problem is finally gone. I am trying to post a sample. Still not sure what was the problem. On the snake pattern I can rub off what feel like dev mix.

Drum arcing. i know this well if there is a small hole in the DEV seal (normaly deep side) the drum would leak to the mag roller. change drum and dev tank or fix seals. Get DS collar kit.

Well wit THAT information + your scan it would have been much easier to diagnose the problem..........

Arc Marks. Dark bands are charge, light marks are transfer in most cases.

Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

I didn't had a sample with me and customer was closed for the holiday. I still have the dev unit and will inspect for hole in mylar covering the mag roller. Seem like a common problem with these models. Had another 363 with same problem 3 weeks ago, cleaned the charge corona unit but they never called back.

Customer called with same problem again. New drum, new dev unit. I am pulling my hair cause I have no idea what else could it be.

I would put the new drum and dv unit in another machine. If it works in another machine, I would start going backwards into the machine and change the hv power unit.
