Re: Konica Minolta 215
If that does not work then look for the IC-209 specific driver.
Download Centre - KONICA MINOLTA Europe
under product type select controller then IC-209.WhateverComment

Re: Konica Minolta 215
I've disabled the IPP settings in control panel. Pagescope itself is temperamental, right now its not working but I'm sure it'll work again soon but the printer pings and connects when it wants.
Am I using the wrong port? (sounds silly I know..) Also, could I be using the wrong network cable? I don't know which network card the printer has but if tried all drivers. I've got a feeling this is something really stupid, something which I have no idea about.Comment

Re: Konica Minolta 215
get a Laptop and a cross over cable (most new laptops you can use a straight cable). Set the laptop to the same range as the printer and ping it from there use "ping x.x.x.x -t" to let it ping continuously, wiggle the the cable end that is plunged into the machine to check if there is any physical problem there.
Then install the driver(s) to the laptop and see if it prints.WhateverComment

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Konica Minolta 215
Ok so I've connected the printer to my laptop and changed the TCP settings (I think that's changing the range?) to the same as the printer. I ping in cmd and its giving me replies regularly/consistently wriggling the wire, nothing changes. When I open up the Local Area Connection it states packets sent xxx received 0.
Troubleshoot gives me 'doesn't have a valid IP config (I thought this isn't how to change the 'range' I don't know how else?)
Sorry noob =(
Then trying to install drivers is futile!
Thanks againComment

Re: Konica Minolta 215
#1) are you using a crossover cable?
#2) what IP is set on the printer?
#3) what IP is set on the laptop?
The IP's must be in the same range, but not the identical, for example:
192.168.1.200 and 192.168.1.201
I think that will help. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: Konica Minolta 215
Printer I have 192.168.0.112
Laptop I also set to 192.168.0.112 (like a proper noob lol) obviously network gave me errors.
I'll try to change it to 192.168.0.113/4 or 5???
Oh and everything else has to be the same right like subnet mask, gateway (obv) etc? Dns etc? *just don't want to put in something stupid like identical IPs
Thanks =)Comment

Re: Konica Minolta 215
No I don't think it's a crossover. It's cat.5 which I'm sure isn't but my laptop is pretty new so it shouldn't be a problem right?

Subnet and Gateway remain the same. You can enter a DNS if you like, but it's unnecessary.
You're getting there. I made (and continue to make) all the same mistakes, so don't feel too bad. You're still trying things, which is important. And you have a sense of humor about it all. It's unhelpful to beat yourself up over things you don't know.
Personally I feel that the my greatest asset as a diagnostitian is blockheaded stubbornness. Unwillingness to give up. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
