    Kyocera Taskalfa 300ci

    Hello people

this machine says it cannot do double sided scans due to a fault with the document feeder - how do i find out what the fault is?

the ADF has a scanner built into it to scan/copy the 2nd side, in other machines this scanner is electrically separate from the rest of the ADF and i presume the same in this machine as the document feeder has two connectors plugged into the machine

    any assistance greatly appreciated

    thanks in advance

The machine locks down functions of the machine if there are recurring issues in that part.

May have been multiple jams in the ADF and the machine has locked it.

Run U906 and powercycle the machine. Then do a scan to test, either the issue is still there and you'll be able to find it or it was just a once off for whatever reason and it'll be fine.

It's a fairly common failure on the DP-760 to have the CIS cooling fan fail. The resulting heat buildup in the DP causes the CIS to fail soon after. As you probably already know its a very expensive part to replace. The resulting code is C3210, which you can observe on the Event Log (Service Mode > U000 > Start > select Event Log > Start > Stop x2 > to exit: 001 > Start. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Clean the white roller opposite the CIS. The CIS uses it for white reference. If it's dirty, the machine assumes the lamp isn't lighting bright enough. 906 after cleaning it will resolve the issue.
          Hope that helps !
