Need to update firmware on a 305i, went to the website and saw 2 versions one said TURBO is this a faster version or what. Generally I go by the latest release date but there the same.
The difference between the Turbo and the Regular firmware is that the Turbo firmware will only update the individual firmware files that changed. The Regular firmware overwrites all the files whether they are the same or not.
So lets say that you've got corrupt engine firmware. If you use Turbo and the file name is the same, it will not update it. Personally the difference of a few odd minutes is negligible, compared to the memory requirements of carrying twice as many firmware files. I only download and use Regular firmware, but it's up to you. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
I keep all turbo versions on my laptop for every machine. You'll only need to remove the es_skip.on file to make the turbo firmware a full firmware. Turbo is a lot faster in most instances, so it's my first choice.
