    Stop machcine

Just wondering if there is a way to make a TA8001i stop operating when it is time for maintenance?

It's not in the standard simulations AFAIK. There might be something in special service mode, but I don't know how you'd get there. I think I'd contact my tech rep. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Is there a reason you want the machine to stop working when it reaches the PM count??!! There is nothing I know of in the special service mode that would disable the machine, again why would you want that? We use the time for maintenance indication to schedule the PM for a slow day rather then create an emergency call. If the unit is operating without a problem why would you want to create an emergency when you could do at your convenience? Did a PM on a unit just yesterday that the customer had called in with a time for maintenance display 10 days ago, unit was operating fine with good copy quality and we were able to perform the PM on a slow afternoon. I am sorry, but I do not understand why you would want to shut down a working unit just because it has reached the PM count.

Some schools will let the maint cycles run way over, voiding the warranty. As long as it's still running, they don't call. I've got all of our machines in KFS set to email all of our techs when the maint lights come on. You could also set it up in the machines to email you directly as well.
        Hope that helps !

I don't get it either. If the machine runs fuser for argument sake to 400-600k . Then you should be happy and manufacturer as well. If it fails under the PM cycle and school will call you then you warranty it. Are you putting paper feed tyres through warranty's or how often does this happen that you get void on warranty. Just trying to find the logic behind it.

Cure to the problem has been said by tmaged.
            Option 2:
Schedule a visit every month print Maintenance reports from each machine and analyse in workshop, then grab parts and return at your leisure.

            Byting on bits.

We recently put a school system under KFS and found 6 machines that were due maintenance kits that hadn't been called in.

Now we just check KFS every morning to look for issues.

OK. Are you saying your Drum suppose to last 600k, you get 500k out of it develops a fault, you warranty it and they send you new drum. What do you supply to manufacturer and how much credit do you get for your part? Full 100% or just for those 100k that your old drum supposed to do? You can PM me if you want.

You have to track meters to bill. Do the same for maintenance. If you have e-automate set the maintenance tracking and it will alert you.

You get 100%, doesn't matter where it's at in the maintenance cycle. If you don't change it within the 10%, it voids the warranty.
