Re: Katun color toner
It will void your warranty. Is it worth it? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

We don't do any aftermarket color. Those machines were not good from the beginning & now you're adding another variable into the equation. Not worth it IMO.Comment

Re: Katun color toner
Sorry, I should have stated. Nothing but genuine through warranty period. My experience with 3 rd party toner has not been good. Usually I can tell if a customer is using generic because they call in asking for more waste tanks. The only reason I'm inquiring is because I'm being told this particular vendor's product works well. But because these units don't work very well with the genuine toner, I'm having a hard time convincing people the problem is third party toner. Thanks for the replies.Comment

Re: Katun color toner
We only use OEM toner. That Katun garbage, cost us a lot of money and gave me a lot of head aches over the years. We do use after market wtb though (not from Katun either).Comment

Re: Katun color toner
I agree with others, don't do it. Especially not for color machines, it quickly kills dev units. The only aftermarket toner i would recommend (for b/w machines out of warranty) is the Integral toner. It's pretty good German brand that never caused any problems to me.Comment

Re: Katun color toner
Katun isn't great. Too many issues in the past. Not just katun but other third parties too. Every now and again you get a machine that works well with non OEM toner e.g. kyocera km5050 or taskalfa520i. But all the later dual component machines, leave well enough alone.

Re: Katun color toner
Our company has been a long term katun user also. Since the mid 80's. We are currently selling katun color toner to all our Konicaminolta customers except one. Mostly C284, C364, C454, C554, C654, C754, Also older models like the C360 and C352. We have had relativly few problems with the katun color toner. Except on high volume customers. The one customer we have switched them to OEM toner becaues of early failure of developer units and drums with the Katun color toner. But they run 100,000 copies per month. 100% color 95 % coverage and mostly half tone colors. The katun color toner has worked well in our low volume customers.Comment

Katun is garbage. If I had all the money that we wasted using Katun products I could retire.Comment

Re: Katun color toner
Sales person telling you its good toner and wont give you a problem? Maybe hire him to sell copiers for ya. w2aste toner bottles from Katun works well and like $1.50 cheaper than Kyocera's price. stick with OEM tonerComment
