    [Misc] FADED IMAGE

I have a Kyoceta KM6550. Having trouble with the image fading...especially the black. Whenever a solid is printed, the lead edge is solid for about 1/16" and then the balance is faded. Thinking it is an electrical problem. Any ideas?

    Sample? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Here is an image. It does this on all colors but it is most noticeable on the black.

is this in copy mode or print? What do the internal prints look like?

Looks pretty normal for a Kyo of that series. Devs are supposed to last 600k but can show fading and degradation in as little as 200k. Try a new dev.

Even with completely new supplies, you will notice on blocks of color (like the calibration prints) that every block has a sharp, darker edge. You won't change that. New consumables may fill in the color block better, but guaranteed, one edge will always be darker.

                  Congratulation for noticing. =^..^=
