Kyocera 300I/ Copystar CS300I adf problem

Copystar CS300I documents feed but make a buckling sound when document has fed and is turning and after about 10 documents may jam and crumple up / wrinkle document.

Nothing appears to be in path as I have pushed thru cardstock manually . I have never worked on this document processor(DP670b) and could not see how to remove covers. Downloaded service manual for DP670 but that
does not show disassembly. Did not want to waste time in customer's office and figured after downloading manual I would have disassembly procedure. I see from parts manual there ate tabs on covers. I guess I want to
take them off to get to transports assembly so i9 can see what is happening. Any help is appreciated. Frank

    What jam codes? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks David. Most of the time the documents don't jam. When they do they exi to glass with serious creasing.

I Think it may require the modification for jamming/skewing that Qtech has supplied the service bulletin (027)

        Thanks Qtech

Remove and reinstall the original white plate...If the plate is too far left it will interfere with the guide fingers and cause the paper to hang up...And of course check for nicks and any mylars that may be bent...

          Have fun..

All of mine with this issue were fixed by adding the mylar mod.

recurred i would look to change feeder. Thanks to all. Frank

I agree that the hinge could be the issue. I had this once but on mine someone installed the wrong hinge . It was doing exactly as you describe.
