    KM-3050 from a wholesaler

Ok we got this 3050 from a wholesaler with about 50k on it.

We are trying to track down a shading problem from front to rear that is there whether print or copy..

It's lighter in the rear than the front.

We have installed new drum-dev-transfer-main charge.

Anybody got any ideas. Ever seen the laser do this?

I've seen a main charge cleaner cause this by pushing the front end of the main charge away from the drum. You can throw in a Falcon 1-2 main charge to rule out the cleaner.

It was our first Falcon 3, and I was already frustrated with the horrible response time from the interface when we saw the excellent shaded prints. Disassembling the cleaner and messing with the gears fixed it.

We have swapped in a whole new main charge unit and it still does it.

Never mind. We discovered someone got the charge units mixed up.

        Thanks to all.

This happens on all the Stratos and Falcon machines. Only one customer in 100 actually reads the instructions, and tries to clean the primary. If the cleaner isn't positioned exactly right..... =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

OK Thanks, did not know that. Have to say, I'm not liking them too much, lots of electronic problems and those DF-670's leave a lot to be desired.

I just picked up my cert on the Stratos.

I didn't like when they went from Falcon 2 to 3 the silliness where they made it a little moe difficult to network.

The Falcon II is a breeze.

I kind of like the new silliness. It was a bit difficult to pick up at first, especially if you were used to networking the 2s, but the new system is a lot more versatile in it's networking capabilities.
