    CS 5053ci Timing out while pdf printing

    The test print was a 9 page pdf and after sending about 11% to the copier it hangs up. It prints word docs just like its supposed to. This is a new install with latest firmware and drivers. Has anyone seen this before and if so what was the cure.

      Just the one document, or other PDF's too? I've come across corrupt PDF documents that turn into a PostScript error about halfway through. =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Agree with Blackcat, is it just one pdf or multiple pdf's? Have you tried to print the pdf as an image? Had a case a year or so ago where a customer could not print purchase orders from a customer that were emailed to them. Turned out the purchasing software the customer was using was creating pdf files that Acrobat could not translate. Printing the PO's as an image would work, but of course the customer blamed the machine for not accepting any pdf, even it was corrupt. Try printing the PDF file as an image. If it works, I would be strongly inclined to believe that the program creating the PDF is causing the problem.

              Windows updates change the default PDF viewer to Edge. It's garbage & most end users can't change it open with Acrobat Reader. Had a 28 page PDF that was over 1gb when printing with Edge. Use it with the KX driver & you won't have a problem.

                  Try changing emulation on the KX driver . See what works best

                      The following fixed my issue

                      Advanced tab>Print as image

                      Properties Tab>Imaging>Color Selection>Text and Graphics
