Was yellow there before you replaced the drum? If it was then you need to recheck your work. Make sure everything is properly seated and plugged in.

Possibilities are yellow dev unit, yellow laser, yellow transfer roller in ITB, high voltage.

I don't remember if the 2552ci has the little white button to push in on the DV unit which moves the mag roller to the drum, there may be a spring that allows it to move to the drum. Common problem for lost single color.

I did not notice the little white button but saw only the release button to remove the unit.

I don't think the lower speed machines used the "touchdown" developer system with the moving mag roller.

also look at the drive coupler in the back it is spring loaded and may not be engaging the unit

Did you run Sims 464 and 469 after replacing the drum as per the manual? Have you tried putting the old drum back in to see if the yellow returns? When you replaced the yellow drum, was the unit fully powered down [power button on control panel then power switch, I even unplug the unit]? Unless you fully powered down the machine may not have recognized that you replaced the drum. Does the maintenance report show the serial number of the new drum? Hope this helps.

                    I agree with mita.
Have had several cases with these couplers.
Before maintenance everything works well, after remounting from DK unit missing color because of no more drive for the DK

You are right mita, i've adjusted the spring at the back (engaging the unit), all test performed, yellow color is OK!

                      Best regards,

                      Bruno

Most of the TA-2252-3252ci series having this issue.
Apply a small amount of conductive grease to the coupler area where the pin is located.

I know this is a three year old thread but I just wanted to confirm Mita's diagnosis. I just had a ta 2552ci with Mag and Cy missing turned out to be drum drive couplers. Thanks!
