Does anyone know what the procedure is for making timing/registration adjustments to these machines? I've got a handful of 1128s in the field and with them it is a sim mode (34 I think) but on the 1135 there is a whole slew of sim adjustments that are missing. I quit putting out Kyocera desktops years ago cause I just don't like them, so I only have this one 1135. Don't see anything in the service manual either unless I'm missing it.

Re: kyocera 1135mfp paper timing/registration adjustments
All rollers are new. The registration isn't reallly varying, I just want to adjust the timing a little bit so that her checks print better, needs to be moved a couple of mm to print a little higher above the line. If it wasn't for that she'd never even notice.Comment

Re: kyocera 1135mfp paper timing/registration adjustments
I have seen in the manual that FRPO commands can be used to reprogram the firmware in which the values can vary but I have never done so. Perhaps it is more convenient to edit the document to be printedComment

Re: kyocera 1135mfp paper timing/registration adjustments
Tom, to move the image up / down on the paper use the following FRPO command:
!R! FRPO L2,XX;exit;
Replace "XX" with a two digit number from 00 to 99. Smaller number raises the image, larger numbers lower it. The default is usually set to 50. If you need to move left / right it would be FRPO L4,XX.
If you print a stat1 page you should be able to find the current settings on the second page I believe, may look something like 00/50/00/50.
You can combine all commands into one and send to the machine with something like ICLink send file function. Here are all commands combined:
!R! FRPO L2,50; FRPO L4,50; STAT1; EXIT;
Can't remember on the 1135, but Kyocera's newer machine can take the command directly from a USB drive, just write your command into a text file with something like notepad and save it to the USB drive, then change the .txt name to .capt, insert it into the USB slot and print the file. Nothing will print (except the stat pages if called) but it will make the setting changes if done correctly.Comment

Good to know, Thanks. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
