The technician's ABC says to check the PM counters of the paper feeds and replace them if necessary.

Agree to all above answers. 160k probably most of top drawer. If machine use one ways in rollers drive check them also, rollers may look/be good but if one-way slips its shaft...

The feed units are a bit different ... not exchangeable. The higher speed models have an extra set of aligning rollers that can be an issue because of weak idler roller pressure. Those rollers do not exist on the lower speed models. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                  1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                  2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                  3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                  4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                  5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

                        Re: taskalfa 3500i

Are you getting a jam code? or is it just showing a message something like "Cassette 1 problem. open and close cassette 1"?

I've found if it just shows that cassette problem message without a jam code, the paper tray is either over-filled, or the blue paper stop / sideguides are TOO tight. If the guides are too tight, it doesn't allow the paper to properly gradually lift as the paper is depleated. Opening and closing the cassette will temporarily fix the issue until it has trouble lifting the stack of paper again.

                        - Take the paper out and jog it. Make sure there's no bent corners/damaged paper.

                        - Reposition the sideguides and paper stop. Make sure the rear sideguide isn't broke and is straight. Sometimes it can jump teeth on one side and be crooked. Also make sure the paper hasn't cut into the sideguides so much that the paper is catching on it while lifting the stack.

                        - Replace the feed rollers. These rollers generally don't go past 150k without a problem, at least for my customers.
