    [Jamming] Ecosys M5526cdw

I have a M5526 that gives a constant Jam 4211. Paper exits fuser and crashes into exit/eject unit and stop, z folding at above fuser. When jam is removed, there is no image on paper(printing from Reports). Machine has only passed around 400 pages. I have also noticed that there are no actuators on the exit unit. On other M5526 we have out, I have seen 3 flaps attached to a shaft hanging down that the paper pushes up when exiting into tray. Is this an issue with the Main PWB? I see nothing wrong mechanically.

Try to crash the copier (open side door while copying) in order to see if the Z folding is present before the paper reaches the fuser, if it is then check for and sticky registration actuator or a bad registration clutch (I've seen energized clutches passing paper early or late and z folding it, the machine doesn't synchronize to print anything and the result is z folded, jammed and blank pages.

      Check Eject sensor (ES)

Eject sensor (ES) does not turn off during paper feed from cassette 1.

Eject sensor (ES) does not turn off during paper feed from cassette 2.

Eject sensor (ES) does not turn off during paper feed from duplex section.

Eject sensor (ES) does not turn off during paper feed from MP tray.

Look at page 3-2 of the service manual Item # 5. Eject sensor.

The sensor is on top of the fuser unit. pg 3-41

At Sirius Range take care for clutches.
If you get z-folding and no image, i think your registration clutch is rusted...(302NR94010)
Have seen it several times. clutch sirius.JPG

The fuser passes the paper through. Page is found on top of fuser, not passing out to exit tray.

Yes, the paper stops mid fuser because the machine detects a timing issue,
the timing problem started in the registration clutch,
Have you already checked the clutch (dissasembled it to see if its rusty?)

Thank you. It was the clutch. I did not think that after 304 total pages the clutch would be fouled up. Took a little 600 grit cleaning paper to it and now all is fine. Thanks again.

it`s related to the storage position on the ship.
Shipping from from China factory to America will take a few month.
If the container is located in the upper area from the ship, they get rusted.....
KDC tries to find a solution against it, but until yet they don`t find a final solution.
It`s a well known problem for me since Alphard range.
Maybe you remember J4401/ 4411: brand you systems out of the box with duplex jamming.
Take care for e.g. 302NR94010/ clutch
This clutch also mounted in DP feed sections, you`ll find it in Perseus range and other models color + b/w.
Btut also other clutches getting same problem

Thats strange. Sharp machines are shipped from China and have never seen one rusted clutch. Must be Kyo shit steel!
