Re: 2553ci
If it's like the previous Kyoceras, you designate a specific media type for faxes. Then set the desired tray for that media type.
**Remember** You cannot hard set the paper size for the tray that faxes are printed from. It MUST be set to Standard, Auto Detect.
=^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: 2553ci I just set the paper type to Plain on every set up
At set up I set the paper type to plain, 1 ring instead of twoComment

Re: 2553ci
You can find all of that information in the User Manual.

Re: 2553ci
@bsm2
It don`t work with fixed paper size( just tried)
@all
maybe there is a totally other problem behind.
If no additionell tray installed you don`t get the possibilty to "select output tray"
Mistakenly technicians are thinking that the upper tray inside will be selectable for paper out put.
It`s no Job Separator it`s only for duplex paper feeding.
Only in case of installed JS-7100, AK unit or finisher you get the possibilty to select out put trays.
If mistakenly U211/ JS would set to "ON" without installed JS-7100, green job separator LED will be always on but you can t select this tray for output.Comment

Re: 2553ci
Did I misread the original thread? I thought the poster wanted faxes to go onto a specific paper ... not to go to a specific output tray.
I think that was unclear in the original post. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

Re: 2553ci
Yeah, but what kind of tray? Output or paper? I thought he was talking about paper tray. You can set the default tray or output tray. Or both. The only thing is that you set the default paper tray by selecting the media type. He probably didn't know that.Last edited by BillyCarpenter; 09-21-2020, 09:48 AM.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: 2553ci
This was the reason why i had written:
Try "Quick setup wizard".
By #5/ Output, you can select media type for fax and paper output.
But if no additionel tray installed, you can`t select any output tray.
Maybe you remember bulletin for Iris 1/ FW V3.00:
Up to this FW version it was not possible to select other output tray. You must use the quick setup wizard to get the possibilty to select JS tray.
(I coudn`t test on Iris 2 if we have the same problem, because we don`t have additionally tray installed at our Iris 2 with fax inbuilt.)Comment
