if i copy anything from the adf it comes out blank. if i lay it on the glass it copies fine. i have opened the adf and checked for obstructions in the paper path. fed a thin piece of cardboard through the path and it came out without any issue. i also hit the path with some air in case of staples, paper clips, or paper dust. there are no errors messages. i am looking in the service manual and tech bulletins for answers. was just hoping someone might have seem this issue before and has a fix. guess i should give the firmware an update as well just in case.

Is the scanner lock preventing the scanner from reaching the slit glass? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
