    Unused Taskalfa 250ci prints horizontal lines

    Hi!
    I bought a used Taskalfa 250ci few days ago, the office that sold it hadn't used it for about 6 months, the printer was working perfectly and regularly serviced.
    When I tested the printer I found that it prints repeating horizontal lines - yellow-black-magenta-cyan - - yellow-black-magenta-cyan.
    I assumed it was just dirty and would automatically clean itself with use, but it didn't.

    Do you have any advice on what the problem may be? I thought of a roller on which sediment has formed, but before taking the printer apart I wanted to ask someone more experienced than me.

    This is the scan of a blank print:

    We need to see some test prints of the problem you describe. Also, if they're repeating lines, you need to measure the distance between and tell us what that is. Thanks.

      What interval does the cyan mark repeat at? Try printing these images:

      A che intervallo si ripete il segno ciano? Prova a stampare queste immagini:

      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              Lines are from OPC's. Cartridges are OK it is just bad printer. Did you try simple calibration?

                You still need to measure the distance between the repeating lines and tell us what that is. I'm guessing it's the drum but I'd rather not guess if at all possible.

                  Each line is exactly 9.65cm from the previous or next line of the same color.
                  Black <-9.65cm-> Black
                  Magenta <-9.65cm-> Magenta
                  etc.

                  As I said, the printer was in perfect, it still unused for about 6 months (or more) and when we turned on it started giving this problem.
                  Could it be sediment on the 4 drums?

                        It is the drums, those had a tendency for the transfer belt to scratch the drums. I think what happens is the belt sticks to the drums after sitting and when it gets turned on it scratches them, I have replaced numerous drums for this on those.

                          Definitely drums. I'm guessing that the drum cleaning blade adhered to each drum during the storage period. The machine broke them loose, leaving residue from the neoprene drum blade. There is a very small chance that the residue may be cleaned off of the drum with a cotton pad and paraffin lamp oil, then alcohol.

                            Never thought about the blade sticking to it but I bet you are correct and that is what it is.

                              It's the drums, when the unit sits for a while the drum blades get stuck to the drum. The only fix is 1 take each out and clean with denatured alcohol (you will see defect on drum) be careful and patient. 2 replace drums (if still available) I have seen this many times.
