[Error Code] TaskAlfa 3252ci C2103 error

We have replaced magenta drum and dev units, transfer belt, every board, dev motor, complete drive assy. Transfer belt has a light coating of toner mixed with developer laying on the belt for every color. Any ideas?

I see that you replaced the DV motor, but have you actually confirmed that the motor is turning?

There's another thread that talks about a C2103 error and blackcat had a great suggestion for checking the DV motor.

And I quote from the great blackcat:

"A simple test would be to unmount the developing motor with the plug connected, then watch to see if it runs in U030. It will detect a drive error eventually, but you should get 4 or 5 seconds of rotation before it detects the error. You might need an extra set of hands to start the sim. It's kinda hard to stand on both sides of the machine at the same time, simultaneously."

Here's the other thread. Hope it helps:

PS - Using a logic probe with audio beeper is a great tool for checking motors, sensors and other components on a copier. It eliminates the need to have one person stand at the front of the machine and run the sim while another person stands at the back of the machine to confirm the desired result. I used to use a logic probe all the time for that very reason.

With the back cover off, you can see that the dev motor is turning. That is why we replaced the drive assy as we could not see if there was in issue inside the drive unit. We also replaced the high voltage wires to all the drums. Strangest thing is the pulling of the dev from all the developers.

If it's pulling developer from all units then I would be sure to check DC bias voltage to each developer. If you lose developer bias that could cause your problem.

            I fighted several days against C2103 !
            Finally i found the reason!
            Electrical noise from laser unit!!!
See Bulletin 2ND-0161 (K093) there you`ll find the solution and exactly my way of investigation.
Switch off U464/ permission and restart the system, if system is coming up without C2103 and now C4001 is comin up, i am right.
I have had now 3 systems with same error and all cases would solved by new laser!
I forwarded laser + my investigations to KDC, they confirmed and published this bulletin
            Investigations at HQ:
            1.Checking from eventlog:
            •9x C2103 and additionally 4x C4001 + 1x C4011 logged.
            2.Changing from function parameters.
            3.Exchange from LK-8350
            Work done:
1.U464/ Permission switched to „OFF“. (no more calibrations, Laser not needed during start up)
2.After restart: no more error C2103/ System becomes ready state
            3.Tried to printout b/w page:
•Paper stucks at the registration roller, error “C4001“ coming up on the screen
            4.Exchange from LK-8350
5.After restart no more errors, no more “C4001“, b/w page would printed well.
6.Switch back from U464/ permission to “ON“, system works well.
            7.Running FW-Upgrade to newest version.
            8.Running from all needed adjustments.

This is why I say that KYO is an expert on the Kyoceras. That's impressive.

Laser unit is partially stuck on, this is why it pulls out devleoper.

Older post but I just had this c-2103 code today 12/5/24. I would suggest checking the complete harness before ANYTHING else. After drum, dv & magenta motor I found a thin gray cut wire in the harness. Spliced back together and BAM, SHE'S BACK RUNNING ON ALL ORIGINAL PARTS! It happens to the best of us I guess. Now I get to have lunch

Sorry, it was the drive motor harness that runs all 4 motors

That will do it! A bad wire that was cut. Not sure how it got cut.
