CS-3010i intermitent black lines when printng or copying

Hi,
i have this problem with 2- CS-3010i and 1- CS-3510i all installed on different offices/customers

Problem:
Intermittent black lines across pages, perpendicular to the page movement. (see the attachments) it can print fine for a few hundred pages or show the problem few times a day.

already replaced:
Drum Unit, Developer unit, bias voltage board, reconnected connectors on boards.

The cs-3510i started showing the problem when it was almost new. i had to replace all 3 machines and now i have them in my warehouse.

That looks like a laser failure, to me. =^..^=

same problem whit utax 3060 and utax 2540
there are false contacts between the connectors main charge, drum dv unit and those in the main body

Could you explain the steps to resolve the false contacts?... since the contacts have springs and i already stretched them but the problem persist...

yes you pulled the springs out BUT are they making the proper contact with the units?

were the drum/dev units you replaced NEW or were they pulls from another machine?

did you init them in service mode?

have you cleaned the laser glass? BC mentioned the laser have you tested that?

new developer and drum,
the laser is clean and working as shows the enlarged image (the text can be seen "behind" the black line (green arrow)
the lack of a white margin (red arrow) tells me is a problem with the developer bias voltage or maybe a drum ground problem...


the path of the Developer bias voltage has many "steps" and a 3 or more springs to get to the magnetic roller.
each one of this "steps" is a possible false contact. and the springs are difficult to handle because their location.

i was hopping that someone had figured out...

Are black lines repeted at same distances. If yes from these distances you can find what cylinder (drum, chatge etc) it causes it (the perimeter is equal to distance).

On Kyoceras, most crossfeed defects are accounted for by primary charge loss or arcing, or loss of drum ground. =^..^=
