    M6535 color registration issue

    M6535 color registration issue,
    I have replaced the transferbelt and main/engine pwb.
    Looks like black is fine but the colors are shifted. I adjust registration fine, but than when i make a copy the colors
    are shifted.

    Any help would be appreciated

    I think there was a firmware for registation issues on this model. Most of the time we had this issue replacing the transfer belt resolved the issue, but it seems youve already tried that.

      I don't see reset firmware for this model. On the previous models, there was a a CQ issue, and that's why registration would get out of whack.
      Print solids of each color and check them to make sure it's not a drum or DV issue. Replacing the belt was the majority of the fixes.
      When it get milky white, the image density sensors couldn't read the patches correctly and it tried adjusting registration itself.
      Hope that helps !

          Update the firmware clean the patch sensors.

          Also any worn drums with CQ issues will cause colour reg issues.

            Check eventlog for C76xx
            If you get C7601 or C7602 check/ clean the calibration sensors
            No C7601 or C7602, both sensors are working well.
            C7611/ C7612/ C7613/ C7614 means density failure BK/C/M/Y because of wrong position.
            Unfortunately there is no way for reset from the color registration reset without KDC.
            They must prepare special capture file for reset.
            I received one file in past, but for successor system only.
            KDC won`t prepare reset files or create reset FW for older systems without existing failure anymore
            You has to ask Kyo for reset file.
            BUT:

            I found prescribe commands to switch OFF and ON U467 (i tried with Mebius printer, but not with Mebius MFP)
            Registration ON/OFF・・・U467 index:0. ON=01OFF=00
            Registration ON :  !R! KCFG “KSMS”,2,1127,0,“0100000000000000”;EXIT;
            Registration OFF :  !R! KCFG “KSMS”,2,1127,0,“0000000000000000”;EXIT;

            1.Step: send "OFF" command
            2.Step: send "ON" command
            3.Step: run color calibration by system menu
            4.Step: run color registration in detail mode. Not normal mode

                @tonerlung
                thx for helping, but procedure from Gemini series won`t work on Mebius series.
                (No reset FW available as i had written)
                New belt would mounted from toddanderson before he asked for additional ideas/ help.

                  Re: M6535 color registration issue

                  I have a 3252ci with this problem but I was out on V and H was fine.

                  Quality was perfect checked everything belt the lot all looked good. I did a u469 I think and did detail adjust and all I did was keep moving cv-3 to 9 press start put it to 9 press start repeated that about 10 times and I got it back then I repeated that for all the colours. I couldn't get it to auto adjust still so I did a u410 print auto adjust then everything lined up again and I could calibrate it successfully.

                  I would try doing the same just maxing out one of the H adjusts for a colour 10 times to see if you can bring it back in.

                  I think at some point it's drifted and eventually gone so far out the machine has lost the plot. It shouldn't ever go that far out but the problem with these is 7xxx codes don't stop the machine from working so unless a user notices you'd never find out.

                  My belt had barely did 10k btw I even changed it with another just to sure I didn't have a duff belt. Only thing I couldn't really be sure of is the belt sensors? How can you tell if they are working or not?

                    Re: M6535 color registration issue

                    If sensors are not working you`ll get C7601 or C7602.
                    Try U467 set to "OFF" and "ON" again.
                    Chack U468 after reset from U467, manually values must be "0" for all 3 colors.
                    Next step will be color calibration and color registration by system menue.
