The LSU dot pattern was the major clue. I had to think why the pattern would diverge in certain areas and that led to the manual color registration, which has several positions for adjustment values across the page. If one of the areas was applying a gradual increment that the others did not it could mean bad adjustment values.

Then I remembered the Color Registration problem on the FS-C2126 where the values would not adjust properly until a reset was performed, and the procedure I used was the basic steps from that fix.

This problem has been seen rarely and looks like a DV problem unless you examine U089 grey prints under a loupe.

It is a Color Registration data issue and can be resolved my resetting the Color Registration Correction adjustment in U467 (below).

    U89_Grey-r.jpgSample-r.jpgClose-r.jpg

In the effected area and color(s), the dot patterns shift and adjacent lines overlap.

In U467 Turn Color Regist to OFF
Power Cycle and perform Automatic Color Registration
Set U467 Color Regist to ON
Power Cycle and re-check color registration.
Working...
