    2 Factor Authentication password - Reveal ?

Customer has a Kyocera that is used to send out emails. Says it has a 2 Factor password in it and they do not know what it is. They are getting a new machine and need to set it up using the old information. Is there a way to REVEAL the password or just need to generate a new one?

Nah, you have to just generate a new one. Could be something you write down/type into an email if you ever need it again, but generating a new one isn't the worst thing.

Assuming Youre refering to Gmail? there is no way to reveal that one time password but it is easily regenerated by a new app password!

Yea thanks that is what I told them. Gmail allows you to view a App password once and then you can't see it anymore as it is blanked out. So you had better write it down or you will have to generate a new code.

If the old machine is working, just export the network info from the old machine to the new. I always use KM Net Viewer for this as sometimes using a USB stick doesn't always work.

Also, long ago I started making a customer info document on all our customers. I use Notepad as its easy to copy and paste when needed. I put down customer name, machine model, host name, IP address (also if it is dynamic), DNS, email credentials, and anything else particular to that customer. . Many times I have to help the customer with making a 2 step password. When I do, I write it down and add it to my info page.

I have also started collecting information from all the machines in the field using U917. I download the info on a stick , then transfer it to a folder with the customers name.

with scan to gmail i always take a screen shot of the app password and scan it to that email for future reference.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
            The medication helps though...

Yes I always print it out, scan it to a folder, and scan it to a email address. But I was not the one that set this up and the owner did not know the app password.
