    taskalfa 4500i developer unit problem.

Machine printed too light. I tried some calibration with no effect.
Later i noticed that developer unit have had no developer and toner in it. I swapted dev unit with an other working unit from an other machine. And the same , light copies. I checked the new dev unit and i saw that toner and developer were out of it (i think, not sure that dev cylider rotated in reverse) and there is no dev in dev unit again.
Any idea what is the problem and how to fix it?

if you put a new developer inside that the machine from a known working machine. did you find excess toner/developer inside the machine? how many copies/prints did you make before it was empty? that is very weird.

I tried to run U140 but the choices are diferent. After "AC calibr" appears choice "High Altitute" with sub choices :"Default, 1000,2000,3000,4000" and not U140 (Adjust Developing Bias > [AC Calib] > [Calibration] >[Execute] > [Start]

In the attached files i show the old dev unit , notice the dev cylider is too clear with nothing on it.
I swapted it with an other one and now the new one is the same. . The area arount the dev unit id full of toner. It looks like it splited from dev unit. Any idea? Can dev unit rotate in reverse?

Look to me like the toner in use is completely incompatible. Generic toner?

You are talking about Venus series with Touch Down Developing system.
it is normal that no toner is visible on the sleeve roller on this system, it is not a simple 2-component system.
With the simple 2-component system the toner is applied with the magnetic roller and toner is visible on the magnetic roller, when using the touch down system the toner is applied with the sleeve roller and almost no toner is visible on the sleeve roller.
            I agree with Ropariva

I know that the magnetic roller looks like that. But here is totaly clear totaly different from normal mag roller. Also toner is spit all over the area arount. The same thing happened with the second dev unit. I provided customer with katun toner for long time whiout any problems. for about 1,5 year i haven;t any news drom this customer. . Amnd few days ago he called me. The toner i found he used now were geniuin kyocera toner. So this happened with genuin toner. Perhaps he called other tech. I do not know he told me that he did not but to disappear for 1,5 years .................... Is there any program that can force dev ubit to spit toner ?
