[CQ] Kyocera Taskalfa TA5004I blank prints

    Hi all,

We have a TA5004i device in a hospital that has just developed this fault overnight, all prints are coming out blank (white) even the test patterns in service mode & status page.

Can't see a bulletin on this from Kyocera, is this a known issue ?

I'm not familiar with the 4 series, but the 2 and 3's had a plunger on the DV unit that would pop out and disengage the mag roller. Again, not sure if this even has that, but that would be my first guess. You could put something against that plunger to keep it in. Should replace the unit, but don't technically have to at that point.

If you open the door to stop the copier during the transfer from drum to Tx belt stage, is there any image on the drums and/or Tx belt?

I'm not familiar with that series, does it have laser glass shutters? Are they working if it has them?
