    Battling IPP drivers after MS updates? This says it will keep them from loading.

    This says it will keep IPP drivers from loading:
    1. Press “Windows + X” and select “System”;
    2. Under “Related Setting” or “Device Specifications”, select “Advanced System Settings”;
    3. Select the “Hardware” tab;
    4. Select “Device Installation Settings”;
    5. Select “No (your device may not work as expected);
    6. Click “Save Changes” and the “Ok”.
    7. Restart and change to proper drivers.
    Worth a try. So far so good after a month.

    Thanks for that. I've been successful with accomplishing on the MFP side, but there are too many items that have to be disabled, then other functions stopped working.
    Hope that helps !

        I've just set which machine the customer wants as default and this seems to help as well

            You can also disable the WSD and IPP protocols on the device.

              i agree with nath... above... then just use the print drivers from the manufacturer. been doing this the past few years. i don't need windows installing every printer on the network. i only need just the one or two that i use. same goes for my customers that i install new equipment for.
