    P3155dn

    Hi,

Not much experience on this printer, but
It gives an error, display indicates: CHECK CASSETTE 1

I can hear the lift motor moving the paper, but in the end it gives the error.
    changed the cassette, same error

    anyone?
    Thanks in advance

Rotate the printer around to the back and peek in the back end of the tray while it's lifting. I think you'll see the tray lift plate is moving in a jerky way because of broken lift drive. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I looked at the back side when the tray is lifting, but it seems allright, no jerky way, it is lifting normal to the pickup roller. . . .

Check the little whie flag by the upper feed roller, hanging from the duplex door. Could have come dislodged, just put it back and it should work.

Also check the paper size switches for proper operation, that the size dial is set correctly. Also there is a place in the system menu to set paper size and type. Are the paper size and type set correctly? =^..^=
