Take a fresh unopened ream of quality paper and put it in the machine and see how many Jams they come up with. Paper quality., humidity , moisture can all lead to Jams. Are they doing full page colour edge to edge? if so increase the machine print margins on the lead side . Mainly damp paper has been the main cause. If they are printing, when done open the fuser and see if there are droplets of moisture on it or near by above the fuser. If so you may have found your culprit. Dose this happen in the winter months?

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

What jam code are you getting and is it trying to to wrap around the fuser due to heavy edge print? Adjust U34 start position to somewhere between 0.6 and 1.5 to centralise the image on the page. Use an edge to edge test chart on a USB to make this adjustment. Do not go by the “test print” option provided by the machine.

It has been my experience that even with all the registrations and margins set properly you can experience this if the user has the wrong driver or if the application over rides the settings in the machine. I have fought this on numerous color and b/w machines in this family only to find out over half of the faculty had the wrong driver.

The paper likes to wrap around the fuser. I'm gonna try that. Thanks to yall - I went under U34 and it give some options like
          lsu out top
          lsu out left
          mode
          reset
          on timing
off timing Thats where i get confused????

On my school machines I run 402 lead up to 6.5 to7.5. Teachers love to run the machines with the ADF open.

You want LSU Top Out on this model. Set all items to +1.5 and test with an edge to edge PDF on a usb key. Note you have to come out of test mode to properly test this. You are looking to make the lead edge and trail edge void the same. You may have to do this several times to get it right.
re code 402. This for copy lead edge only. Once you get U34 correct you likely won’t need to do any other adjustments

I believe the adjustments only effect the copy side and does not effect printing lead edge

When referring the Chart of Adjument procedures, U034 is always first. This adjusts the basic Print image position on the page. If this is wrong, and in my experience, it is almost always wrong, every other adjustment is just compensation. No matter what brand I’ve worked on, you always adjust the laser start and feed start position for print first. Then you adjust copy from the glass, then copy from ADF. So, U034 , U402, U065, U070 etc in that order.
On every run up we ensure U034 is done so lead/trail edge void is identical, and we have zero fuser wrap issues in the field.
After that is done we do U411 Scanner auto adjustment and I am happy the machine will go into the field with no issues or complaints from the client.
I'm just going to reiterate this once more.
U034 is the most important adjustment you will make on your Kyocera devices.
