    [Misc] DP-7160 Parts Availability

Has anyone else been having issues sourcing parts for the single pass DP-7160?

This doc feed is used on the new MZ line and the parts list/numbers are identical to those contained in the xx54ci seris parts list so should still be in prodction.

Everytime I enquire about ordering one or getting parts it is like they don't exist.

delete the last digit off the part and search it. Maybe they updated the part.

I haven't experienced any of that. Firstly I have not had the need to replace anything in any MZ series machine. Secondly, the two parts I use the most are the same part number and I just got a shipment of them this week. These feed belts and separation rollers go back as far as the 0 series, I think. As far as I can tell you should be able to use part numbers from an older series for them.

And the KM3050 before that I think, or is that what you meant Lunatech?

They do seem to last much longer now than the ones I'm referring to, now they pretty much just need an occasional clean with 'rubber rejuvenator' in our experience.

I can't really speak to the KM series as I have only worked on a handful of them years ago at IKON. As for the "0" series, it was pretty well on its way out when I came onboard here, but if memory serves correctly the DP was pretty much the same as the "1" series.
We have a few client pounding down near or over 100k scans every month and the go through the belts, separation rollers and other miscellaneous part on occasion. Other than those few I agree they last a good long while with occasional cleaning.

I can get the feed tyres and belts no problems. I should have been clearer on my original post.

I have a client that has snapped the handle on the top along with the release catch and parts have come back to me saying they no longer make them. The part numbers are the same for DP-7160 in the 2554 and MZ2501 Parts Lists.

The DP I need parts for is installed on a 3554ci, I only mentioned the MZ as the parts list is identical and I was frustrated that they are using the same DP in the new machines, so you would expect them to have stock...

The parts lists I have for the 2445ci and MZ2501ci have identical parts lists for the DP-7160. Dropping a digit does not bring any new information or updated part numbers that I can see.

I feel this may be a UTAX issue, as my Olivetti parts team have stock but I have to wait for shipping from Italy.
