7002 with C6620: IH core motor error

whats happening is this machine gets paper wrapped around the fuser .and then throws this code. ive replaced the high voltage plate on the conveying unit and the corresponding springs on the registration assy, when it was doing this and making black skyshot arc bands on the copy. after the replaced parts the arc banding went away, but im still left with the occasional fuser wrap.
Although I havent yet my next set is to check wall voltage, unless someone here has seen this and knows the fix.

Can you make the leading edge margin a little bigger as that would help with the wrapping?

If all else fails read the Service Manual!

If that fails, meet me at the pub and we will discuss it.

U34 and increase your lead edge margin to 5mm to help prevent wraps.

We had a few machines with C6620 and changed the IH unit and then some one here posted that it's just a dirty sensor (toner dusting) on the IH unit. You can remove the front frame bracket on the IH and get your can of air in there and clean it with out removing the IH.

Is this the black band you are getting? If so thats drum and belt.

Yup. Eliminate wraps with U34. Increase start position so that you have 5mm front and rear edge on an appropriate test chart. You’ll probably find your image isn’t central and you have something like 3.5mm lead 6.5mm rear. Sort this out and it will be a game changer.
the black bands, as per Darkhelmet are TR belt pinholes but likely you’ll need to do TR belt and drum as that often gets damaged too.

its been my experience that the drum and transfer are symptoms. the photos that ive uploaded are usually the cause. the metal plates on the conveying unit build up with toner and then arc. this will eventually burn a hole through the conveying unit plate...which is how i figured out the issue.

To many variables to pinpoint a direct fix. What works for one machine may not give satisfactory results in another. Changing the leading edge really will help 99 % of the time..
