yes you can pre-program buttons for scanning. but i think it is only an option on the desktop versions.

We have a customer who we upgraded from a 2 series to a 4 series. They are pissed because of this issue. The want us to take the MFP out.

Have had the same. Please put pressure on your Kyocera support to have this changed. The more pressure worldwide the sooner they will take notice. We have sent several pleading emails regarding this and have so far managed to avoid swapping machines back out. The best you can do for now is to revert to ver 2.08firmware
Hopefully they will resolve this soon.

To be clear, the latest firmware to get would be version 3.07.

Is this also true with 3554ci thru 7054ci & 4004i thru 7004i? The latest firmware for those models is version 3.07 as well.

Is this the way to turn off that annoying sales killing feature:

Function Settings > Prevent Miss-Sending Settings > Turn off the following: Destination Check Before Send & Entry Check for New Dest.

If the above is correct, I will have everyone update the firmware and turn off the annoying features as we encounter these models currently out in the field.

I just set up a 2554ci last week. I do believe that during a new machine setup that this comes up as an option to set.

I have installed the latest firmware, v3.07, and the ability to turn off Address Check option is there as explained earlier in this string.

I have done this update and change to some older models I have out in the field. Specify a 2554ci, a 4054ci, four 3554ci, and a 6004i. In each case I was able to turn off Address Check option.

Also on a new out of the box 2554ci and a 5054ci. Updated the firmware and I was able to turn off Address Check option on both machines.

I updated the firmware on a 4054ci to V3.07 and the confirmation message still pops up when you select a one touch destination. I had to roll it back the firmware to V2.04 .
