408ci Scan Extension kit (A) questions

Does anyone here have experience with this scan extension kit?
How and where do I install it and what else is required.
I read that it requires a memory card and possibly firmware reinstalled.
I have installed many Kyocera machines, but never this kit.
Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated.
Oh and I also read that it is meant for A3 machines, but it in the 408ci optional accessories list
Will it work in the 408ci?

According to the Kyocera website it is compatible with your KM-408ci. I have not installed one of these kits, but I suspect that it is a license add-on to allow optional OCR when scanning.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The 408ci has a SSD & HDD so there's no need for storage. You only need to add storage on the 308ci.
I believe you can do a couple of 30 day trials on it. It should be in the system menu under System/Network>options.
      Hope that helps !
