Reading the Sub codes in paper jam error

    Hello,

I would like to know if someone can explain to me how to read the sub codes on printers when a paper jam occurs. For example i have a machine with error J0000 and below the jam error code it indicated 05,10. I do have the service manual but i cannot find how to read those codes.

I know the next step to troubleshoot this error is to do U031 and check the sensor status, still i would like to know about the sub codes meaning.

    Thanks in advanceCapture.JPG

What model did you say this was? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

In the xx53ci manual (which I assume is your display), Page 6-14 is where it starts to explain how to read the event log. This is the best way to figure out what tray, output etc was happening when it jammed.
      Hope that helps !

It's most assuredly is in the service manual. The top number is the Jam Code which suggests the cause of the jam and the bottom numbers are the position code, telling you the location of the jam in the machine.

JOOO0 means the power was turned on with a jam in the machine.

          05 is a jam @ cassette 3 or 4

10 is a jam @ paper conveying unit

            Thank you for the replies.

The model is TaskAlfa 6003i. Can you please tell me in which section of the Service Manual i can find the detail about the codes.

            Thank you

I think what you asking for is on pg 7-89, but honestly you'll get much more useful information from the event log. =^..^=
