Here's the proof from Kyocera about not swappping yellow drum. From KYO_OEM.

Just to wrap this up. I think I have this right. The original yellow drum that came in the machine can't be swapped around because it stores data that will cause CQ issues. It's marked with a yellow circle with a black dot.

A new yellow drum ordered from Kyocera will have a yellow circle with a red dot and can be swapped around.

Original developer replaced with good used, first print out was banded. Original drum replace with new DK-8350, first print out banded. Ran all calibrations in service mode. Drum conditioning and blanking lamps working. Going back today with used LSU.

Re: TASKalfa 2552ci sloped yellow banding

That looks like its form a troubleshooting guide of from a class handout. That's good to know. Something to lookout for when dealing with a 2552ci or 3252ci. Many of these out in the field are usually low mileage. So if I swap the yellow drum and it has a sticker and then it codes, its an original.

stsacer I have attached the handouts that are included in any new developer unit, drum unit, transfer belt, or fuser unit. In this case I have provided the ones for drum and developer unit replacement. I find these handy as they provide step by step instructions on what maintenance modes to use when installing a new sub assembly. When I have to use a used sub assembly or I am swapping for testing, I usually do most of the adjustments, not all.

These handouts usually also include Image Adjustments. Whenever I take out inspect and/or clean the developer, drum, charger roller, or transfer units, I run the Image Adjustment. Never hurts.

I don't know why Kyocera changed the handouts. Prior to the xxx2 series, the handouts included adjustment instructions for all the sub assembles for the series (as seen in the one I have included for the xxx0 and xxx1 series).

            Hope this helps.

Ordinarily I would say yellow developing based on your samples. What is the repetitive interval on the pattern? 37.5mm = primary charge, 50.2mm = developing =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Per 2552ci parts manual, the 25ppm to 32ppm TASKalfa's use same drum (DK-8350) for all colors CMYK. They are not unique.
